EL Dorado Auto Supply  was founded in 1956 by spouses Marciano Laqui Carandang, a true blooded Batangueno and a Civil Engineer by academic training, and Lolita Arcigal Carandang, a High School Teacher in the province of Laguna. Its humble beginnings had its original store located in Paco, Manila, where it still stands to this very day as the Main office, and continue to serve its clientele with utmost zest and passion. EL Dorado Auto Supply was one of the pioneer Authorized Parts Centers of CHRYSLER Motors Philippines when it was established in 1963, long before Mitsubishi Motors arrived in the country.

Because of honest and quality service, its customer base grew fast and in only a few years time, EL Dorado expanded its reach to España, Manila, right alongside the historic University of Santo Tomas and along Highway 54 in Pasay, now better known as EDSA. Right about the time that Martial Law was declared in the Philippines, the American Car companies started to shift their operations to other Asian Nations. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation of Japan bought into Chrysler Motors Philippines in the mid 70's and steadily took over operations, The Canlubang Automotive Rescources Company was born  ( CARCO-Feb 27, 1978 ). EL Dorado Auto Supply immediately became an Authorized Parts Center of CARCO and has since been at the forefront of business relations with Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, sharing its enthusiasm in customer satisfaction through Honesty, Truth and Integrity in parts sales.

With Mitsubishi Motor's expansion in 1987 CARCO ceased to exist and The Philippine Automotive Motors Corporation, which then became known as PAMCOR, came into existence. EL Dorado Auto Supply was again there to be at the forefront of progress and growth with Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, sharing its visions of development and stability.

With the renewed hope for the country after the EDSA Revolution in 1986, to further improve its clientele service, EL Dorado opened a new branch in the Cubao area on September 1, 1987, while the Pasay branch along Highway 54 has since moved to the Rotonda of Taft and EDSA where both still continue to reach more and more clients to date. In the same year, EL Dorado Auto Supply decided to further strengthen its business identity by incorporating its assets    ... EL Dorado Car Components (EDCC) was born.

True to its Founder's pioneering spirit and the Legacy they have embarked on, under the initiative of Atty. Marlo A. Carandang, EDCC ventured into the Malls in its desire to bring the store closer to the people. In November of 1994, EDCC opened its very first SuperMall branch in SM MegaMall, Mandaluyong City. With Spirits high due to the successes of the first mall branch, EL Dorado further expanded its reach and opened the Filinvest Festival Mall branch in Alabang in 1998, and another four years later, opened the third mall branch in SM City Bicutan, Paranaque. Currently, EDCC employs close to 50 personnel in its quest to continually strengthen its own niche in the Philippine Automotive Industry with 7 branches and three affiliate stores ready to serve its constantly expanding clientele.
